To increase the microgravity activities in Brazil, and having the Brazilian participation on board of the International Space Station-ISS as a goal, the Brazilian Space AgencyAEB established a microgravity project for academic and research institutions. IAEInstituto de Aeronáutica e Espaço and UNIFEICentro Universitário UNIFEI established a partnership, starting to work in a joint program. IAE is developing a recovery orbital platform named SARA that has, as a part of its substructures, the SARA Equipment Module, a multi-user monitored environment canister entirely being designed by UNIFEI, the joint program partner. The same module will fly on the platform SARA-Suborbital. Partnership between UNIFEI and IAE has allowed that both institutions worked cooperatively to achieve common goals in the aerospace area.

Transposing from the Laboratory to the Classroom to Generate Authentic Research Experiences for Undergraduates
Large lecture classes and standardized laboratory exercises are characteristic of introductory biology courses. Previous research has found that these courses do not adequately convey the process of scientific research and the excitement of discovery. Here we propose a model that provides beginning biology students with an inquiry-based, active learning laboratory experience. The Dynamic Genome...

متن کاملProblem Solving and Creativity in Engineering: conclusions of a three year PBL project involving Reusable Learning Objects and Robots
Problem solving and creativity within the sciences and engineering are highlighted in current UK and European benchmark and policy statements as essential capacities. What these statements fail to do, however, is offer guidance on how these skills might be fostered, let alone how they might be assessed. This paper presents the conclusions of a three year research project to develop a dedicated ...
